First up is Ms. DeeAnna Blanton, Principal of Snyder Intermediate School. Although she’s new to Snyder, West Texas is home. In addition to leading our 4th and 5th grade campus, you’ll often find Ms. Blanton keeping books for volleyball games and helping out at football games. As a former K-12 principal, she’s no stranger to doing it all and stepping in wherever needed!

Today marked another productive day at Snyder ISD. Participants in monthly instructional rounds enjoyed seeing the great things our classroom teachers are accomplishing firsthand! The group at Snyder Primary visited over 20 classrooms, while other teams observed classrooms at both the Intermediate and Junior High Schools. Superintendent Rauch, Trustee Leatherwood, and members of the Cabinet also participated in rounds.
The instructional rounds process, modeled after the medical rounds approach, aims to foster collaboration and professional growth among educators across Snyder ISD. By observing classroom instruction and learning from one another, participants gather insights that help identify trends and guide instructional support. It also allows administrative staff, trustees, and others to see how their work impacts campus staff and students. These rounds are held monthly and contribute to improving student outcomes district-wide.
Snyder ISD teachers demonstrated their dedication to providing quality instruction, and we believe their efforts will greatly benefit students! Keep up the GREAT work!

Snyder Intermediate School is excited to kick off the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge! Starting next week, our students will jump into daily cardio activities and learn about healthy lifestyles, including proper sleep, eating habits, exercise, and hydration.
Week 1 will focus on jumping rope, and week 2 will be about basketball 🏀. Our grand finale? A thrilling Students vs. First Responders basketball game AND an opportunity for students to pie a teacher in the face! 🏆
We can’t wait for a fun-filled and heart-healthy fundraiser. Let’s get moving for a great cause!
This weekend, several volunteers from Evergreen - SISD Research and Retail Greenhouse and the Snyder Intermediate School STEAM Team participated in the Keep Snyder Beautiful Fall Sweep cleanup. Evergreen replanted all the pots around the square and at City Hall with fall foliage, while the STEAM Team helped clean up the pocket park and paint around the square. We appreciate the work that all of the volunteers put in to spruce up our community!
Last week, Snyder Independent School District National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and Advanced Culinary Arts students represented us well (by waiting tables and working in the kitchen) at the Snyder Lions Club 100th Anniversary event.

If you are NEW to Snyder ISD, welcome to the Tiger Family! We hope to make the enrollment and registration process as easy as possible. Here are some steps you can take now to get set for the school year.
1️⃣ New Student Enrollment - Open Now!
Students who were not enrolled in a Snyder ISD school at the close of the 23-24 school year are considered new students. You can begin the enrollment process online or visit the school your child will be attending anytime Monday through Thursday between 8 am - 3:30 pm. Please have the necessary paperwork on hand ( www.snyderisd.net/welcome) so we can have a successful enrollment process!
2️⃣ Online Registration Verification for All Students - Opens July 15th
This is required for all students (new and returning) and will open in Skyward on July 15th. We will release more information as the date approaches.
3️⃣ Back to School HQ
For Back to School resources, visit our Back to School HQ! You will find school supply lists, start & release times, dress codes, calendars, and more. www.snyderisd.net/backtoschool.

Snyder Intermediate School graduated its THIRD cohort of students who completed 6 years of the Dual-Language Program. Beginning in Kindergarten, these students embarked on an immersive program to learn in both English and Spanish with the goal of becoming biliterate, bilingual, and bicultural.
By the 5th grade, students are taking English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Math. Students learn Science and Social Studies in Spanish!

We want to thank everyone who attended the Parent Night Scavenger Hunt at Snyder Intermediate! The students pictured won the grand prizes and a fun project to kick off their summer break! Students worked with their parents to solve riddles and answer STAAR questions for each subject. Once they answered the question correctly, they received the next clue. After finishing the scavenger hunt, students spun the wheel for prizes on the spot.
Mrs. Cade also wants to give out a shout-out to Mrs. Neff for creating the scavenger hunt. Everyone had a great time!
