Monday, February 17th is a professional development day for staff and faculty. No school for the students! Tuesday, February 18th will begin the 5th six weeks.

Valentine's Day is coming up and love is in the air! Parents, we know you want to shower your students with gifts of adoration, however, please keep in mind deliveries will not be sent to your student in the classrooms. This becomes a distraction to the educational environment. Deliveries will be held in the office at each campus or other locations if necessary and will need to be retrieved by the student at the end of the day.

Snyder High School will host the annual Sweetheart Coronation on February 12th. The event is open to the public and will begin at 8:15 am. Guests are asked to arrive on time and use the Worsham Auditorium entrance.

Parents of incoming 9th-graders are encouraged to attend tonight's 6:00 pm P-Tech information meeting at SJHS CAFETORIUM. Attending this meeting will help you to assist your students in narrowing down their pathway and endorsements as they embark on their journey at Snyder High School. If you are unable to attend, please review the information provided on the website. You will find this information on the website under the parent tab. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Jennifer Rosas at jrosas@snyderisd.net

Good afternoon SISD staff and families,
We are rapidly thawing out this afternoon; however, the National Weather Service predicts temperatures to be well below freezing tonight. Icy roads will most certainly be an issue tomorrow morning and the safety of our students and staff takes priority. Since Fridays are shortened instructional days, a late start isn't a reasonable option. Therefore, SISD will be closed tomorrow and will reopen on Monday, February 10th. At this time a decision has not been made about extra-curricular activities scheduled for Friday.
Stay safe, get well, and we will see everyone on Monday.

Yearbooks are on sale! Lock in your $25 price by ordering before March 8th! Prices will increase to $30 soon! Click on the link for more information.

Jan. 30th Community Meeting Clarification:
Tonight's Meeting is a Potential Innovative Partner Presentations. An innovative partnership is an option we are exploring to assist SISD. Three companies have submitted applications and will present their ideas to the community. They will each speak for 30 minutes and will have a Q&A following. We look forward to you attendance.

Community members are encouraged to attend the Potential Innovative Partner Presentation held at the Snyder Junior High cafetorium, Jan.30th at 6pm.. This meeting will provide information on upcoming possibilities affecting our students.

Good afternoon! This is a friendly reminder that Monday is a district wide school holiday. All campuses will be closed! Enjoy your three day weekend!

Parents:
In the event, that road conditions become hazardous in the morning and the safety of our community members are at risk, SISD will announce delays or cancelations before the first bus leave the bus barn. A determination will be made between 5 and 5:30 am. Please be sure that you have downloaded the free Snyder Tigers App from your Apple or Google Play store. Notifications are shared via email, text, voice call, push notifications and live feeds on the app. The same weather-related notifications will be posted to all SISD social media campus pages and relayed to local radio and surrounding television stations. We encourage you to share the App availability with your non-social media family members and friends. We are working hard to improve communication and appreciate your teamwork! https://www.snyderisd.net/o/snyder/page/snyder-isd-inclement-weather-emergency-release-procedures
