Snyder, Texas-- Mr. Bob Rauch, Incoming Superintendent for Snyder ISD, has named Mr. Adam Alaniz as the next principal for Snyder High School.
The search began with a diverse interview committee comprised of parents, teachers, and community members who reviewed applications and interviewed several candidates. The committee presented their recommendations to Mr. Rauch, who conducted the final interviews last week. Mr. Alaniz will begin on July 1, 2022.
“Mr. Alaniz has the energy and experience to address the unique needs of Snyder High School,” said Mr. Rauch. “He has a strong academic knowledge base and looks forward to building relationships with the staff, students, and community.”
A native of Andrews, Texas, Mr. Alaniz graduated from the University of Texas, Permian Basin, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. He has served as the Assistant Principal of Monahans High School since 2017. Mr. Alaniz holds Superintendent and Principal Certificates and Secondary Teaching Certificates in Mathematics and Business Administration.
Mr. Alaniz's daughter and her family live in Andrews and his son and his family live in Roby. “Snyder is a perfect match," said Mr. Alaniz. "It allows me to be close to my family and join a district with deep traditions, positive momentum, and opportunities for continued growth."
